I just was to repeat, Chantilly was a definate highlight for me.
I loved getting away from the crowds,,( at a place like Versailles it is impossible to take a single photo of any room interior without the bottom half of the photo not being a sea of heads!) at Chantilly there were often only a few other people in the rooms with us, and the grounds ,, although much smaller then Versailles were so very lovely.

The collections of paintings were stunning, I mean I can only imagine the Lourve as being any better... it was an unexpected treat for me, to see so many paintings that I had only ever seen in books,, right there before me. I was in heaven.

I also had a lovely cheese and salad plate in the outdoor restaurant in the Hameau.,, oh, I wish I was back there right NOW!

Joan, I´m happy that you enjoyed Chantilly, it realy is like an oasis to get away from the crowds in Paris.
As you talked about the works of art and the beautiful rooms at Chantilly, these are the pictures we took there (yes, I still had more pictures that I hadn´t posted yet!)
