Don't even get me started about sports, Gitte. My hubby is so nutty that he used to blame me when our team lost a basketball game. Now he's a little more mature, but he's still a sports nut. My son too.

Anne Nope, the nice guys in question here do not fall for those thighs. I was more thinking about luring them with some really good cooking and wine..... also maybe we could dress up as those gorgeous Brazilian transvestites from Bois de Boulogne ?? And when they found out that we are pulling a scam..... it would be too late......
Sorry, I deserve smiting for that one......

If it makes you feel any better, GitteK, I just returned from playing 27 holes of golf, and last night I sat in front of the TV drinking beer and watching the Tigers play the Indians...dining on Lays potato chips and cheezwiz. My snoring is off the map, and I buy all my clothes from K-Mart (hence my complete lack of style)...I know absolutely nothing about Persian rugs and the nearest I get to knowing anything about antiques is the beat up old '93 Chevy I drive. I mean, it was established a long time ago when Truffaut found out I wore pants with pleats that I had no business being gay, but somehow I manage to stumble along.

What an interesting tangent this thread has got on! I've had similar conversations with my sisters, but now 2 of the them are married guys that are neither metrosexual nor the sloppy joes. So perhaps there is hope for me yet!

Hey - does this mean that gay people aren't supposed to eat potato chips?

If that's the case (potato chips), then G is seriously flawed!!

Gitte, Pleats are nice if the guy is trim and the pleats are generous enough that they fall nicely toward the knee. Most American guys wear them too tight and it makes them look like they're wearing a couple of watermelons strapped to the ass.

I have just been reading along here, and I find it interesting, because all those adjectives that Gitte used to describe those wonderful gay men, are the reasons I find myself so attracted to them as well. Not attracted in a physical way, of course, but attracted to how beautifully they live and dress and host a dinner party!! But, I do wonder, if it is not acquired? They paid attention and they learned - they aspired to be! It is an interesting question, and I think it is very nice that we are free to open up the discussion here. Suffice it to say, I want what they have!!!!!

Has someone suggested that potato chips(and Bamba?) are not one of the finer things in life??!! You Non-American ladies have blown my illusions..I thought it was just American straight men who fit that description!! Thought my S/O's finer qualities came from having European parents and having lived there for so long...(away from me Hummmm?) Though personally if the Ynakees are on regular(as opposed to expensive cable)TV my ideal dinner or lunch could be a few brews and a bag of Doritos!!! ;D
