I suppose that Hermès scarves are THE items that are best bought at resale shops, since they don't get out of fashion . An older Hermès scarve isn't old stuff, it is a vintage item . That's how my mom still sometimes wears one that she received as a present for her 18th birthday (many many years ago ...) . And it looks great !

At bit off topic but very old Hermès scarves that might be a bit stained and can not be wear can be frame and reused in decorating a room. When we are by the Normandie coast we like to stay at the chateau de Goville, near Bayeux.
Each room have a theme according to the original owner; our room was decorated with five old framed Hermès scarves and the rest of the room was a nice dark beige.

The name of the resale shop on Rue de Pompe is "Reciproque." Haven't been there, but has been on my list for quite awhile!

Luc, I have a silk scarf that a very special friend in Finland painted for me. It is the skyline in Chicago that includes the John Hancock Building. They had never been up 93 floors in a skyscraper before and were very impressed! Anyway, I was so charmed by it that I framed it. You can see the scenery much better in a frame than hanging around my neck!
