Maybe I would add that it is "pour les zones un et deux, s.v.p." That's correct, but probably would only be necessary if one if buying the coupon outside zones 1 or 2. Otherwise, I think the assumption is generally that "deux zones" implies #1 and #2.

Mez, As a formality, just understand that the Métro can refuse to sell you a Carte Orange without proof that you either reside or work in the Ile-de-France. Personally, I've only seen it happen one time, but it does happen! It's not something that should cause a lack of sleep

Plan B hasalways been to buy a single ticket, dump my bags and when I head out to look for a Metro station with an attendant willing to sell it to me. Mez.
