Bonjour! I'm Sandy, and I recognize a few of you from other boards. My husband and I have been traveling to Paris since 2001, and we've also taken one granddaughter there a couple of years ago. She still talks about Paris :-) She wants to take French in high school so she can go back with her class -- she's now 8 years old. We're taking her little sister in April 2013. Our favorite area to stay in is the 6th, but we have also stayed in the 5th and the 7th. We have never stayed anywhere other than Paris in France, preferring to take day trips to other places. We've gone to Versailles, Giverny, Chartres, and Dijon. We'll go back to Versailles and Giverny in April because our granddaughter wants to go there, but this trip we're thinking of going to Malmaison, as well. In between trips to Paris, I like to plan the next one, though with the price of plane tickets, that hasn't been every year lately. When we first started traveling to Paris the price of an economy ticket was $450. The last time we flew, the price was $1200. I'm glad to be here and looking forward to discussing Paris

Hi All, I just posted an introduction, but I realized I had signed up but not finished my registration, so when I tried to use my user name, it wasn't accepted. When that happened I replaced my user name, saintgermain, with the name, Ama, and was allowed to log in as a guest. I am called Ama by my family, but outside my family, I go by Sandy. Ama is what my granddaughters call me....saintgermain, Ama, and Sandy are one in the same. My apologies for any confusion.
Sandy

Thanks to all for the warm welcome :-) I'm very glad to be here! Jody, we have always wanted to stay in an apartment so we could make use of the markets we love strolling through. However, my Mom is 86 and not in the best of health, so we need to be able to cancel easily, if necessary. Crossing our fingers that we won't have to, though.

Hi every one,
My name is Chloe and i work in communications. I was born and raised in Lille (Northern France) and move to Paris about 10 years ago. I thought I knew a lot about the must see's and do's in Paris until I started wandering in Forums about Paris. I knew their was a big community of Paris fanatics but I didn't know they where so well informed. I am amazed to so how passionate people can get when they talk about Paris, It makes me look at the city in a different way and make me realize how lucky I am to live in a city that make people so enthusiast.

I apologize that it took me 4 years to join after being invited by Luc. Life got a little busy! I am an American blogger who used to live in Paris, and now I just dream of returning to live in Paris while I work my day job in New York City. I still write the blog pollyvousfrancais.blogspot.com. I'm glad to be part of the forum!
